If you need a realtor, Betsy Merry is the person for you. Without her hard, dedicated work, I can’t imagine I would have sold my house in Salem, Massachusetts as quickly as I did or for the price I got. Like so many houses in New England, mine was old and charming, and needed much work before I could list it. This was Betsy’s first strength. Not only did she know what items would be the most cost efficient to address, she also referred excellent craft and repair people who quoted fair prices and did excellent, timely work on my house. When it was ready to list, Betsy had a photographer come who made beautiful stills as well as a video, witch were both flattering yet honest depictions of the house, something that is important in establishing trust. By that I mean stills or videos that have been touched up to camouflage or disguise problem areas in the property will turn off buyers when they see it for themselves, and they will not forget the listing realtor who wasted their time. When I got a valid offer on my house, Betsy went into overdrive to close the deal, successfully navigating the very tricky waters of home inspection. The buyer had a long list of items they either wanted addressed at my expense or their estimate to do so taken off the sale price. No one knows Salem better than Betsy, and one of the ways that transfers into her effectiveness is in her personal relationships with the crafts and trade people who work there. With the aid of these people, she cut through every frivolous item based their honest, sensible recommendations, saving me thousands of dollars and moving the sale to its successful conclusion. I recommend her without reservation and will always be thankful to Betsy for all she did in seeing me on my way to the next part of my life.

Betsy Merry was responsible for the successful marketing of two condominium projects on behalf of the of the trustees of the Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund. Betsy's initial effort on behalf of the Phillips Office was the marketing of a the three unit Phillips Warren Condominium off Warren Street in Salem. Betsy's insights and professionalism were invaluable to throughout the process, and as a result of her keen sense of marketing and pricing, all three units sold within 90 days. The trustees then availed themselves of Betsy's services in marketing the more complicated seventeen unit Orne Square Condominium. Her effort on our behalf was extraordinary, as well as her ability to work with new buyers as well as existing tenants. Alas, there are no more real estate projects for the Phillips Office, but if there were, we would pick Betsy Merry.

Dan's attention to detail, follow through, commitment to excellence and work ethic place him in a class all by himself. We had an original comp done by another realtor on our condo for $20k less than what Dan thought it could sell for. Well, Dan was right. In a market where the average days on market was 180+ Dan was able to sell our condo in less than 90 days while also getting the price we wanted for it. The selling price was still higher than the original comp provided by the realtor. This is why we are requesting Dan's services again to purchase a house.
